Senior Procurement Officer

The ACT Government is seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Officer to join our team in the Justice and Community Safety Directorate. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and assistance to business units to ensure the timely and cost-efficient procurement and supply of consumables, goods, vehicles, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain robust partnerships with internal, external, and industry stakeholders.
- Assist with contract administration, sourcing, and purchasing activities.
- Provide advice on and ensure compliance with the procurement lifecycle, in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with business units to identify and address procurement needs.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Certificate IV Procurement and Contract Management is highly desirable.
- A 'C' Class Driver's Licence is essential.
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) - Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
- Background / Security clearance checks will be conducted.
