About the Role

The Senior Recruitment Officer will lead and build a cohesive team by establishing clear work expectations, systems, and processes. This role is responsible for responding to complex enquiries and providing tailored advice on recruitment options and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and build a cohesive team by establishing clear work expectations, systems, and processes.
  • Respond to complex enquiries and provide tailored advice on recruitment options and services.
  • Conduct recruitment consultations with business areas to offer tailored and targeted solutions.
  • Assist with marketing and advertising vacancies, and support personal development through research and policy review.
  • Handle escalations related to advertising and onboarding, and manage merit pool requests.
  • Maintain eRecruit systems, lead service improvements, and manage recruitment-related projects.

Requirements

  • Cultural competency and experience working with Indigenous areas.
  • Strong recruitment experience within the Australian Public Service (APS).
  • Leadership and management experience with small to medium teams.
  • Sound understanding of APS processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
