About the Role

The ACT Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Procurement and Purchasing to lead and manage a small team in the delivery and undertaking of procurement activities across the ACT Emergency Services Agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small team in the delivery and undertaking of procurement activities
  • Provide guidance and assistance on complex procurement cases to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with the Government Procurement Act 2001 (ACT) and Government Procurement Regulations 2007 (ACT)

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in the public sector at local, state, or federal level
  • Extensive experience and qualifications in procurement and contract management
  • Demonstrated experience in financial/procurement systems
  • Background/security clearance checks will be conducted
  • Driver's Licence Class C is essential
