Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Officer - Contract Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer - Contract Specialist to join our team at DFP Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a practical understanding of procurement and contracting functions and applying relevant legislative and policy guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake research and analysis activities and draft initial documentation to support simple to complex procurements.
  • Provide administrative support to the Procurement team.
  • Initiate drafting of procurement-related documentation.
  • Enter, extract, and manipulate data to enable accurate agency reporting.
  • Contribute to team planning activities and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide advice and resolve any procurement-related compliance or essential issues.
  • Deliver support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines, Procurement Policy, and procedures, including managing and delivering procurement-related compliance reporting.
  • Maintain appropriate records management.
  • Support continuous improvements projects where required, including drafting of project documentation, registers, etc.
  • Assist and undertake procurement reporting and verification activities, and process procurements through the financial management system.
  • Monitor and progress work area activities and achieve work area objectives.
  • Provide administration assistance to the team and have good organizational skills.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Working as a team and collaborating together.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Previous experience with SAP SRM.
