About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join our team on a 6-month contract. As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a practical understanding of procurement and contracting functions and applying relevant legislative and policy guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of procurement and contracting functions and apply relevant legislative and policy guidance.
  • Undertake research and analysis activities and draft initial documentation to support simple to complex procurements.
  • Provide administrative support to the Procurement team.
  • Initiate drafting of procurement-related documentation.
  • Enter, extract, and manipulate data to enable accurate agency reporting.
  • Contribute to team planning activities and identify opportunities for improvements.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Officer who can provide advice and resolve procurement-related compliance or essential issues. You will have the ability to deliver support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines, the Agency Procurement Policy and procedures, including managing and delivering procurement-related compliance reporting.

Requirements
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to provide advice and resolve procurement-related compliance or essential issues.
  • Ability to deliver support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines, the Agency Procurement Policy and procedures, including managing and delivering procurement-related compliance reporting.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate records management.
  • Ability to support continuous improvements projects where required, including drafting of project documentation, registers, etc.
  • Ability to assist and undertake procurement reporting and verification activities, and process procurements through the financial management system.
  • Ability to monitor and progress work area activities and achieving work area objectives.
  • Ability to provide administration assistance to the team and having good organizational skills.
