Relational Development Specialist

This is an exceptional opportunity to further develop and drive major gifts fundraising strategy and make a real impact on the organisation's research and initiatives.

  • Raise significant financial contributions to support the organisation's research and programmes
  • Utilize effective relationship management to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward active pipeline of prospective individual donors, corporates, trusts and foundations
  • Collaborate with fundraising colleagues to solicit blended gifts (in lifetime and through bequests) and philanthropic grants
  • Conduct in-depth research of known and potential high net worth supporters and proactively build portfolio
  • Prepare and submit agreed number of compelling written proposals
  • Meet performance metrics, revenue and retention targets to deliver growth objectives
  • Ensure successful implementation of the Strategic Plan with their team
  • Collaborate with communications teams to develop appropriate proposal and stewardship collateral
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation including academics
  • Work with internal stakeholders and teams to maintain relevant, detailed and up-to-date information on donors and prospects, as well as analysis and reports to support effective fundraising
  • Be a positive advocate and representative of the organisation internally and externally
