Job Title

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to oversee our transport operations across Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will lead our transport portfolio, ensuring we deliver fit-for-purpose, commercially astute transport solutions that meet customer needs and drive profitability.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic and operational transport initiatives across APAC.
  • Oversee the management of our fleet and assets.
  • Drive compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR standards.
  • Build strong relationships with carrier partners and ensure audit readiness.
  • Optimise Transport Management Systems (TMS) for visibility and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Finance and Business Development on pricing and tenders.
  • Manage P&L, budgeting, and reporting for transport operations.
  • Identify and implement transport synergies and growth opportunities.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all transport activities.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering talent and succession planning.

Requirements
  • 6-10 years' experience in transport operations across Australia and/or New Zealand.
  • Proven leadership in managing direct reports and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong customer relationship and vendor management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Transport, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications in CoR, NHVR compliance, or relevant transport safety standards.
  • Proficiency in TMS and logistics software.
  • Knowledge of cold chain logistics and food safety regulations.
