Senior Leadership Role

This is a senior leadership opportunity within a professional services company where your expertise, ideas and impact will shape the future of our business. Based in Sydney or Brisbane, you'll lead client delivery, shape market strategy, manage and grow a high-performing team and play a key role in business development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Growth & Business Development: Identify new opportunities, secure engagements, and lead tender preparation across markets, focusing on client needs and market trends.
  • Project Delivery & Oversight: Lead the delivery of major transport infrastructure projects as an advisor and embedded leader, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Management & Leadership: Build and manage a growing team of transport professionals, overseeing resourcing, coaching/mentoring, team development and operational planning aligned with our strategic direction.
  • Key Account Management: Act as the primary interface with Government agencies and private sector clients, maintaining strong relationships and understanding their evolving priorities.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with other business units to deliver multi-disciplinary solutions and integrated project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer status and a tertiary qualification in engineering or a transport-related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in transport or infrastructure projects, focusing on rail, road and/or integrated transport systems.
  • A respected industry profile, established relationships and a willingness to travel interstate/internationally.
  • Substantive positions within complex projects, including embedded leadership and advisory services roles.
  • A track record of finding, winning and delivering work, particularly in embedded leadership and trusted advisor roles.
  • Strong commercial and client-facing skills, including contract negotiation and budgeting.
  • A clear strategic vision and ability to build high-performing teams.
  • Proven leadership and line management skills, including building teams, capability development and resource management.
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to contribute to multiple business function areas.
