About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team at NSW Health as a Project Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of key statewide childhood obesity prevention programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects related to the delivery of key statewide childhood obesity prevention programs.
  • Undertake and manage all aspects of allocated projects, including planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of childhood overweight and obesity prevention programs as required.
Requirements
  • Sound and demonstrated knowledge of obesity, chronic disease prevention, and health promotion issues specifically related to children (0-5 and 6-11 years), young people, and families, in priority populations.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, the capacity to successfully complete several tasks concurrently, and to achieve competing deadlines.
  • Effective oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use and interpret data to prepare complex reports and submissions, which include reporting data.
  • Ability to work flexibly and effectively across policy and program areas within the Centre for Population Health if required.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing projects to support program delivery and procurement.
  • Providing strategic advice and responding to Ministerial requests.
  • Contributing to the evaluation and monitoring of prevention programs, including the analysis and reporting of data.
  • Working collaboratively with others in CPH to implement statewide prevention programs.
