About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at ACOR Consultants. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the success of our business, both locally and nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify key clients and develop strategies to maintain and enhance relationships.
  • Independently manage engineering requirements for projects, requiring substantial professional experience.
  • Undertake improvement of professional engineering tasks, project management, and project controls.
  • Site-based inspections, engineering, and commission services to internal and external projects.
  • Monitor project controls and assessment, design, and documentation within time, cost, and quality expectations.
  • Coach and develop team members.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An engineering degree or equivalent, recognised by Engineers Australia (Cp Eng highly regarded).
  • Extensive design experience within an engineering consultancy or associated industry.
  • Demonstrated awareness of Project Management within the Structural consultancy discipline.
  • Experience working on social infrastructure, commercial, and retail projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated concept and detail design experience across all sectors (residential, industrial, health, defence, social infrastructure, etc.) in all structural systems.
  • A strong working knowledge with a range of design software packages.
  • Quality control experience including design QA and construction inspections.
  • Strong leadership qualities with proven ability to work collaboratively and mentor others.
  • A strong ability to communicate on a technical and project level with clients, staff, and management.
