The Position Overview

This role is situated at our Caboolture campus, with flexibility required as you will occasionally work at the Moreton Bay and Sippy Downs campuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical expertise and support to undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and facilitate simulated learning for students across the disciplines of Nursing and Midwifery.
  • Provide guidance on the use of simulation equipment and clinical learning facilities and oversee the operation of the technology to ensure safe and effective use of the equipment.
  • Train and supervise casual team members when necessary.

About You

We are seeking someone with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and through active listening. You should excel both as a team player and when working independently, demonstrating initiative and adaptability in the face of change and new situations.

You will possess:

  • Completion of a relevant degree with experience in the provision of a range of clinical activities in support of teaching in a health-related discipline.
  • A commitment to utilising simulation methodology in learning and its ability to transform education.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of policies, guidelines and legislation relevant to clinical spaces and technical services including health and safety requirements and experience in performing, documenting and implementing outcomes of risk assessments.
