About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Store Manager to lead our team at WHSmith Sydney Airport. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing your team, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, embodying our 'Customer First' culture and ensuring our Service Guarantee is consistently implemented.
  • Identify recruitment and training needs of your team, fostering a culture of excellence and development.
  • Roster in a safe, legal, and compliant manner to maximize business opportunities and demands.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Area and Operations Managers.
  • Execute marketing initiatives and promotional cycles, driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Maintain accurate stock replenishment and merchandising, adhering to planograms.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on performance and opportunities.

About You:

We are looking for a modest leader with strong initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, and robust retail management experience. You will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' management experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience managing the stock lifecycle, from procurement to disposal.
  • Knowledge of rostering compliance, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Proven ability to achieve targets and KPIs aligned with business requirements.
  • An unwavering determination to succeed, with flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
