Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quarry Operations Manager to join our team.

This key role will involve overseeing all aspects of operations at the quarry, focusing on maximizing performance, safety, environmental and financial targets while delivering customer service standards and performance outcomes.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team with the aim of providing an efficient and effective production process in a safety-focused environment. You will also work closely with other operations to develop strategies and deliver operational goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure company safety standards and procedures are achieved and maintained.
  • Supervise staff and contractors to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Plan and oversee production, maintenance and on-site improvements to optimize quarry performance.
  • Manage quarry operations for site internal and external audits.
  • E nsure all personnel and contractors are properly inducted and trained for their tasks.
  • Verify daily operations comply with our SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) requirements.
  • Participate in Safety Improvement Team meetings and encourage contractor participation.
  • Conduct daily pre-start meetings with personnel to review tasks and discuss any concerns.
About you
  • You should hold a relevant qualification or equivalent experience in quarry management.
  • Have strong leadership skills and knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
  • Prior experience in quarry operations is essential.
  • Understanding of drill & blast and quarry development is required.
  • Practical experience with mobile crushing and screening equipment is desirable.
  • Budgeting and cost analysis experience would be beneficial.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplined environment.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work with sales and technical teams.
