We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead our quarry operations. This key role involves overseeing all aspects of quarry management, focusing on performance optimization, safety assurance, and customer satisfaction standards.
As a leader in Health, Safety, and the Environment, you will be accountable for production planning, quality compliance, crushing, screening, drill and blast, maintenance, stockpiling, load out, and quarry development. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, working closely with other departments to develop strategies and deliver operational goals.
This leadership role offers opportunities for career advancement and professional growth in a large operation with a diverse management structure.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure adherence to company safety protocols and procedures.
- Supervise staff and contractors, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Plan and implement production, maintenance, and site improvements initiatives.
- Manage quarry operations for internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Induct and train personnel and contractors, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Ensure daily operations meet Holcim's SHE requirements.
- Participate in Safety Improvement Team meetings, driving continuous improvement.
- Hold a relevant certification or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record as a safety leader, with knowledge of Safety Management Systems and relevant legislation.
- Experience in quarry operations, drill and blast, and quarry development.
- Practical mobile crushing and screening expertise.
- Budgeting and cost analysis skills.
- Able to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplined environment.
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills.
