We are seeking a visionary Asset Strategist to drive the future of asset management. This pivotal role will oversee the strategy and performance of our Underground fleet, including mobile and light vehicles.

The Role

This leadership position blends strategic vision with hands-on operational execution. Reporting directly to the Chief Planning Officer, you will work closely with senior leaders across the Planning, Maintenance, and Commercial teams, as well as external regulators and suppliers.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing an innovative asset strategy that ensures our fleet is fit for purpose, reliable, and cost-efficient. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal asset performance through effective lifecycle planning, maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and implement a high-level asset management strategy to optimise fleet performance and align with business needs.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Assets team, fostering collaboration, development, and a high-performance culture.
  • Embed a Zero Harm culture and ensure compliance with all legislative and technical standards.
  • Oversee maintenance management systems and reporting to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Partner with the Commercial team to align asset lifecycle costing with customer pricing and business goals.
  • Drive innovation in maintenance strategies and evaluate industry trends to keep the company at the forefront of asset management.
