Job Title: Experienced Belt Technician

The role of a belt technician is a vital part of maintaining conveyor belts in various industrial settings. As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of these systems.

This position involves working with a variety of fabric and solid woven belts, identifying common damage or faults, and determining the best course of action for repair. You will also be responsible for conducting regular maintenance tasks such as roller changes, skirt replacement, and maintaining belt cleaners.

Additionally, you will work closely with our team to ensure that all work is carried out safely and efficiently. This may involve installing mechanical splice materials and assembling vulcanizing equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong commitment to safety and quality, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Belt splicing, repairs, maintenance and installations of fabric, and solid woven belts
  • Identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair
  • Conduct conveyor belt maintenance tasks such as roller changes, roller frame change-out and repairs, skirt replacement and maintaining belt cleaners
  • Install mechanical splice materials and assemble vulcanizing equipment
  • Ensure safety and quality compliance

Work Details:

Full-time, permanent position available. 7.6 hour shift, Monday to Friday, on call, overtime, public holidays, weekend availability. Competitive wage rates. Ability to commute/relocate: PRESTONS, NSW 2170. Work Authorisation: Australia (preferred). Work Location: In person.
