Conveyor Technician

As a Conveyor Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of conveyor systems. Your primary responsibility will be to perform high-quality belt splicing and installations of various types of conveyor belts.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent technical skills and a strong understanding of conveyor system operations. You will work closely with our team to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the installation or maintenance process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Belt splicing and installations of conveyor belts
  • Removal and replacement of belts
  • Performing high-integrity splices
  • Identifying common belt damages/faults and determining method of repair
  • Conducting belt audits
  • Assisting with creating splice reports
  • Setting up and planning equipment for continuous operations
  • Operating equipment such as winches, winders or vulcanisers
  • Accurately completing timesheets daily and gaining sign-off from job supervisor as per procedure
  • Assisting or completing job scoping, planning and quoting
  • Participating in and signing off on JSA's; safety observations or toolbox discussions

In addition to your technical skills, you will also need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and management.
