Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled technician to fill a key role in our maintenance team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs, rebuilds, replacements, chemical cleaning, and maintenance on cooling towers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out repair and servicing of cooling systems, pumps, bearings, belts, drive shafts, and motor/fans
  • Hazardous chemicals handling and usage
  • Working at heights and confined spaces
  • Service report completion
  • Adherence to safety protocols including lock out/tag out and JSA's

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Able to handle and use chemicals safely
  • Knowledge of fiberglass, steel or timber repair methods
  • High mechanical aptitude required - includes understanding of cooling tower components such as pumps, bearings, belts, drive shafts, and motor/fans
  • Confined Space and Working At Heights certifications preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong OH&S compliance knowledge and experience with JSA's
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail with ability to work independently and collaboratively
