Child and Family Practitioner Role

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Child and Family Practitioner to join our team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will have expertise in assessing child protection risk and implementing a holistic strengths-based approach to achieve lasting positive change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with families through regular in-home support services to promote family stability and well-being
  • Conduct thorough assessments of family strengths and needs, developing case plans that build on the family's resilience and capacity for change
  • Partner with other services to support families in achieving their goals and shaping their future
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in assessing child protection risk and implementing evidence-informed practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds, including the local Aboriginal community
  • High level of motivation, professional accountability, integrity, and a strong belief in the potential of every parent
