The Catholic Education Office invites applications for a permanent part-time EAL/D Teacher position at St John the Evangelist Catholic Parish Primary School, Campbelltown.
Position OverviewThis role sits within the Learning K-12 Team and requires significant experience in curriculum and the capacity to support EAL/D students within Primary Schools.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the School Leadership Team and CEDoW EAL/D Officers to implement the EAL/D Management Plan.
- Design and facilitate professional learning opportunities to build teacher capacity.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and respond to the collection of student work samples and assessment data.
- Support EAL/D students' learning needs through collaborative planning, co-teaching, and student learning plans.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School.
- Apply expert knowledge of diverse EAL/D student needs to support their full participation in learning.
- Facilitate the analysis of student work samples using the ACARA EAL/D Learning Progressions.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- University TESOL training or a willingness to undertake such training.
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K-6.
- Accredited Level B to teach Religious Education.
- NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.
A Working With Children Check is required prior to employment with CEDoW.
