Role Overview
Chef Supervisor Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced chef supervisor to join our catering team in a full-time role. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the kitchen team, managing food preparation and presentation, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety are maintained.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences. They will also possess a trade cook certificate or equivalent qualification, as well as current food safety supervisory certification.
The successful candidate will work closely with the catering team to develop menus that cater to the diverse needs of residents, ensuring that all meals are nutritious, enjoyable, and meet high standards of quality.
In addition to their culinary expertise, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $83,000 per annum, exclusive of superannuation benefits. Responsibilities include:
- Menu planning and development in consultation with residents, dietitians, and other stakeholders
- Leading and managing the catering team to ensure high standards of quality and service
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including recipes, menu plans, and inventory control
- Coordinating food ordering and stock management to ensure efficient use of resources
- Fostering a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among staff
The following qualifications and skills are required for this role:
- Trade Cook Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Current Food Safety Supervisory Certification
- Experience in hospitality or a related field
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
