We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team based in Sydney. This role will be responsible for maintaining strong case management skills, coaching people leaders, resolving conflict, and advising stakeholders on a range of employee matters.

This is a contract role initially for 6 months with flexible work arrangements.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Identifying and advising on employee-related issues, exercising sound judgement, empathy and discretion when dealing with sensitive cases
  • Providing timely and accurate advice to managers and employees on relevant legislation, awards, policies and conditions of employment
  • Partnering with centres of excellence to support the safety and wellbeing of employees
  • Identifying, analysing and reviewing emerging issues and trends relating to employee relations and organisational capability
  • Coordinating and managing records and databases to ensure accurate and accessible information

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 2+ years' experience in Employee Relations, case management, and conducting investigations
  • Previous experience working in government is preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
