MinterEllison, one of Australia's largest law firms with nearly 200 years of business history, is seeking a highly skilled and commercially oriented Human Resources Manager to join our team.

Job Description

This strategic role requires a professional who can collaborate with leaders across the firm to leverage talent for profitable growth and support the company's purpose and ambitions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in HR management, preferably within a law firm or consultancy, and possess strong employment relations capability, exceptional relationship building and influencing skills, and demonstrated commercial acumen.

The successful candidate will work closely with Business Unit Leaders, Practice Group Leads, and other stakeholders to develop commercially-focused people solutions aligned with the firm's purpose and ambitions. They will utilize data and analytics to provide insights to business leaders for informed, commercial people decisions and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement people strategies that drive commercial impact and support the firm's purpose and ambitions.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Talent and Talent Experience Consultants to operationalise line of business strategy within a business unit and its teams.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to Talent Team members within the Talent Experience team.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An experienced HR professional with a strong track record of delivering commercially-focused people solutions.
  • Experience working within a law firm or consultancy, preferably in an HR management capacity.
  • Strong employment relations capability and exceptional relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to analyze fee earner and practice group utilisation rates.
