The job role of a Registered Nurse or Paramedic is pivotal to Aspen Medical, requiring a seasoned professional who can deliver high-quality clinical care in a challenging and rewarding remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver primary and emergency healthcare services including advanced life support, trauma management, and resuscitation as required.
  • Conduct daily medical clinics, manage work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, and facilitate return-to-work planning.
  • Communicate with internal and external healthcare providers for medevacs and specialist referrals.
  • Administer drug and alcohol testing, health surveillance, and facilitate health assessments such as audiometry and spirometry.
  • Develop and implement health-related training programs including First Aid, CPR, Injury Management, and occupational health awareness.
  • Maintain medical facilities and equipment to a high standard, ensuring alignment with clinical governance and protocols.
  • Promote workplace health initiatives and deliver training sessions aligned with the Healthier Santos strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) and CPR Certification.
  • Trauma Qualification (e.g., PHTLS or TNCC).
  • Current certification in Drug and Alcohol Testing (HLTPAT005 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in remote or resource sector health service delivery is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage in multidisciplinary team settings are essential.
