About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Remuneration Advisor to join our team at Rio Tinto. As a key member of our Remuneration team, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing remuneration strategies that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with leaders and employees on the interpretation and application of remuneration policies and programs.
  • Partner with the People Community to facilitate the implementation and execution of remuneration policies and programs within the business.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and communication of key remuneration strategies, policies, and processes.
  • Ensure the effective deployment of remuneration policies and practices, including compliance with legislative and governance requirements.
  • Provide training to the People Community and the business as necessary.
  • Support global remuneration processes, including the Annual Remuneration Review, Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP), and Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) programs.
  • Work collaboratively within and across teams to develop pragmatic and sustainable remuneration-related solutions and tools for the business.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with vendors and service partners, including submission of salary surveys as required.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a large multinational corporation with a focus on remuneration strategy and execution.
  • Strong advisory skills, to provide consistent and timely advice on remuneration policies and resolving complex issues.
  • Knowledge of legal, governance, and compliance requirements related to remuneration programs.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and maintain strong partnerships with vendors and service partners.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of remuneration programs and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and data analysis tools, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Flexibility to accommodate global meetings across various time zones on an infrequent basis.
