Job Summary:

Bespoke Careers is seeking an accomplished and experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join their team. This role will play a pivotal part in the global team and focus on the Australia & New Zealand territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough contract analysis and negotiate directly with clients to draft a wide range of commercial contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies by proactively monitoring changes in the regulatory environment that impact the business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor concerning legal matters, including contract law, employment, privacy, intellectual property law, commercial disputes, and effective management of legal proceedings.
  • Identify risks and propose solutions to any issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a similar role within the building design and construction industry.
  • Ability to take a partnership approach with senior stakeholders within the business to provide commercially sound advice.
  • Strong background in front-end construction law and demonstrated experience in negotiating agreements on major projects.
  • Exposure to construction claims and dispute resolution and knowledge of the construction industry is desirable.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • High-level attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize effectively in fast-paced environments.
