The Opportunity

We seek a Conflicts Analyst to join our Australia team on a full-time, permanent basis in Brisbane.

As part of our global Conflicts & Ethics team, you will analyze new clients and matters to identify and resolve legal and commercial conflicts of interest.

You will collaborate with colleagues across multiple locations to provide conflicts clearance for partners and clients pursuing exciting deals globally.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing information in conflict management systems and databases, liaising with lawyers to resolve potential conflicts of interest
  • Using research skills to identify and verify clients, third parties, and assets involved in new business requests
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of professional conduct rules applicable across countries where our lawyers practise

We are interested in candidates with:

  • Experience in a Compliance department at a law firm or large corporation
  • Strong administration and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
  • Clear and confident communication style, desire to work collaboratively within a dynamic team
  • Interest in the work undertaken by a corporate multinational firm
  • Desire to understand the business and work closely as a team to solve problems
  • Discretion to maintain confidential information appropriately
