Job Title: Mental Health ProfessionalAbout the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals residing in rural communities.

The successful applicant will provide timely and effective mental health assessment, treatment, and counselling services to individuals experiencing mental illness, significant psychosocial distress, and suicidality.

To be considered for this role, you must have a recognised degree in psychology, social work, or occupational therapy, with eligibility for NSW Registration/Professional Association where relevant.

You will also possess experience working in a multidisciplinary adult mental health and/or drug and alcohol setting, as well as excellent networking skills and the capacity to work effectively with multiple stakeholder groups.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the recovery model and patient-centred care, and be able to work in a cross-cultural environment.

  • Providing evidence-based treatment techniques and assessment procedures to mental health consumers in a community setting.
  • Working effectively with multiple stakeholder groups, including people with lived experience of suicide and recovery.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with local healthcare providers and community organisations.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
