About the Role

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations to deliver high-quality meals while maintaining compliance with food safety standards.
  • Prepare and present fresh, well-balanced meals tailored to client needs, utilizing culinary expertise and leadership skills.
  • Manage kitchen staff, rosters, ordering, and inventory control to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Develop and maintain menus in line with dietary guidelines and preferences, incorporating creativity and attention to detail.
  • Evaluate and implement quality control measures, adhering to HACCP, food safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to maintain a high standard of service, fostering open communication and teamwork.

About You

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in healthcare, aged care, or clinical settings, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery (Cert III or above), showcasing expertise in food preparation and presentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, communicate clearly, and solve problems efficiently, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
  • Strong understanding of dietary needs, allergies, and food safety protocols, prioritizing customer satisfaction and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely delivery of meals that meet nutritional and taste requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, adhering to relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing coaching and feedback to enhance performance.
  • Monitor kitchen operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
