The City of Whittlesea is seeking an External Governance Specialist to join its Audit and Risk Committee. The ideal candidate will possess experience in finance, risk management, audit, governance, and/or legal practice.

As a member of the Audit and Risk Committee, you will assist the Council in maintaining a strong governance culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Committee meets regularly to oversee and monitor the effectiveness of the Council's risk management practices, fraud prevention systems, financial management, internal controls, and audit programs.

A successful applicant will have a strong understanding of local government principles and be able to demonstrate their relevant skills and experience through a one-page summary.
