Substation Design Expert

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing substations up to 500kV, ensuring compliance with international standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design primary engineering for substations up to 500kV
- Optimize designs considering technical constraints
- Perform detailed substation calculations
- Ensure clash-free layouts through effective coordination
- Define design subsystems for accurate project costing
- Specify high-voltage equipment according to industry standards
- Collaborate with multiple disciplines to review technical documents and system studies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in outdoor and indoor substations, preferably at 330kV or higher (ideally 500kV)
- Excellent knowledge of local and international standards, including IEC/IEEE/ANSI
- Proficient with various software tools, such as AutoCAD and ETAP
- In-depth understanding of Australian and international standards, codes, and regulations governing EHV substation projects
