This is a highly skilled role that requires expertise in substation primary engineering up to 500kV. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the design partner to deliver high-quality designs.

  • Lead the development of primary substation designs up to 500kV, including layout, equipment arrangement, and electrical clearances.
  • Perform complex design calculations and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop comprehensive design packages, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical specifications for high-voltage equipment.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve clash-free and optimized designs.
  • Review and analyze system studies to inform design decisions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Primary Engineer on major energy infrastructure projects, particularly in HV/EHV substations.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
  • Certified Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working towards it.
  • Membership or eligibility with a relevant professional body, such as Engineers Australia.
