Substation Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Design Specialist to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an exciting role for candidates with expertise in substation layout design at voltages around 132kV.

  • About the Role:
    • Create high-quality 2D and 3D models and documentation across the mechanical discipline to support structural design engineers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Safety, Sustainability and Compliance:
    • Evaluate designs against technical standards and quality protocols while embedding safety, climate resilience, and sustainability principles.

About You:

  • You hold an Advanced Diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
  • You have solid experience with AutoCAD.
  • You can interpret instructions and design inputs from structural engineers and develop footing, equipment steelwork, conduit, fabrication, assembly arrangement and substation layout drawings.
  • A desirable experience in substation design at voltages around 132kV would be beneficial.
