The Recruitment and Selection Priority Project is a strategic initiative to modernize, streamline, and automate the recruitment process. Its primary objectives are to reduce administrative burden, enhance decision-making quality, and deliver a consistent recruitment experience.
This project directly supports broader goals, with a clear outcome: to implement an efficient, compliant, and scalable R&S process supported by automation and workflow tools.
As a Human Resources Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping this modernized recruitment framework – translating stakeholder insights into practical system and process improvements, driving automation, and ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Designing, documenting, and refining business requirements and workflows to support recruitment process improvements.
- Collaborating with employment delegates, panel chairs, HR staff, and business support teams to gather insights and translate them into actionable system and process enhancements.
- Identifying opportunities for automation and workflow integration using platforms like Springboard or PowerApps to streamline approvals, documentation, and candidate communications.
- Ensuring all process improvements align with departmental goals, whole-of-government compliance standards, and broader workforce strategy initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis, ideally within HR and/or the public sector.
- Proven capability in designing HR processes, implementing automation, and working with HR technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of recruitment and selection practices, candidate experience, and compliance requirements.
- Prior experience working within government environments is highly valued.
