Support Services Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide high-quality, customer-focused service to internal and external customers.

Effective communication and timely responses to requests for service are crucial in achieving sustainable service delivery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support services including mortuary transfers, rolling of bariatric patients, and assisting nursing staff with patient handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mortuary Transfers Including Theatre.
  • Rolling Of Bariatric Patients For Washing (Assisting With Rolling And Not Actual Washing Of Patients).
  • Assisting Nursing Staff When Patient Has Fallen Out Of Bed Onto The Floor.
  • Assisting Nursing Staff Transferring Patient In Or Out Of Bed - Hoist Required.
  • Bed Moves Within ICU.
  • Bed Moves From ICU To Wards.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential).
  • Ability To Undertake Physical Work Including Lifting, Carrying And Manual Handling.
  • Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.
  • Great Time Management Skills And Ability To Prioritise Tasks.
  • Pride In Your Work With Great Attention To Detail.
  • Ability To Work With A Cohesive Team Or Individually To Complete Daily Tasks.
  • Excellent Understanding Of Patient Identification Procedures.
  • Excellent Understanding Of Infection Control Procedures.
