PhD Researcher in Almond Science
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to undertake a PhD project focused on optimizing almond tree management practices in the Murray-Darling Basin.
The research aims to identify the physiological responses of almond varieties to different orchard management strategies and develop sustainable farming systems.
About the Project:
- Determine the varietal specific management requirements for almond trees
- Analyze the impact of orchard management practices on plant functioning and stress responses
- Develop best management practices to mitigate stress responses such as leafing failure
Key Requirements:
- Master's or honours degree in Agricultural science, Environmental science, Plant physiology, Horticulture
- Equivalent research or work experience
