Community Engagement Coordinator

This role is focused on developing and delivering community-focused programs to achieve the goals of the Community Resilience and Renewal Strategy.

  • Beyond disaster response, contribute to proactive community engagement initiatives.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and local communities.
  • Support the development of plans, programs, and tools to enhance community capacity in emergency situations.

  • Proven experience in community engagement, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of emergency management principles and practices.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

As an integral part of our Unit Support Team, you will be responsible for building community capacity through strategic partnerships and targeted initiatives. You will support the recruitment and retention of SES Volunteers while playing a pivotal role in increasing hazard awareness and public information dissemination.
