
Building Community Resilience Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building community capacity for emergency events, including flood, storms, earthquakes, landslides, and tsunami. They will work closely with volunteers to facilitate community engagement programs and support the recruitment and retention of SES Volunteers.
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference in their community. If you are passionate about emergency response and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
About Us:
We are a volunteer-based emergency service that works with communities and partners to build resilience and achieve more aware, informed, and prepared communities.
We have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accidents and trauma incidents, and we assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver community-focused programs to build community capacity for emergency events
- Work alongside volunteers to facilitate community engagement programs and support the recruitment and retention of SES Volunteers
- Increase hazard awareness and understanding of public information and warnings
- Lead the development of plans and programs to build community capacity for emergency events
