Park Conservation Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Park Conservation Officer to join our team.

As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service while implementing Council's regulatory functions.

The role is full-time, with 38 hours of work per week, and includes regular days off and on-call duties.

Key Requirements
  • Class C NSW Driver's Licence
  • HSC or equivalent work experience in a relevant industry
  • Knowledge of compliance and enforcement matters in Local Government
  • Ability to read, understand, apply and enforce legislation and policies
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, consultation, negotiation and customer service
  • Well-developed written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in animal handling

This position requires a criminal history check and pre-employment health assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with regulations under Companion Animals Act 1998, Local Government Act 1993 and Australian Road Rules 2014
  • Deal with difficult customers and provide excellent customer service
  • Work as part of a team to achieve goals
