Overview

Psychologist/Specialist Psychologist/Senior Psychologist/Senior Specialist Psychologist – NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).

Location: Orange, Dubbo, Bathurst, Parkes (surrounding areas considered). 12-Month Temporary Opportunity (with possibility of extension), Part-time. Salary: $79,592 - $154,889 (pro-rata) p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

Apply to join a passionate team delivering trauma-informed care to vulnerable children, young people, families and carers within DCJ.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions and other professional services to DCJ client groups including children, young people, families and carers.
  • Work as part of the Psychological and Specialist Services team within the LINKS Western team, a multidisciplinary service providing holistic and culturally informed best practice interventions for young people living in Out of Home Care.
  • Be trained, supervised and supported by clinical supervisors who are experts in evidence-based trauma services.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia, with either:
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, or
  • Provisional registration with an ability to fulfil full registration within the relevant timeframes.
  • Experience: knowledge of therapeutic frameworks for child abuse, neglect and trauma.
  • Driver's Licence: willingness to travel as required.
