Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Controller to join our Ground Transport division at Truganina VIC.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional to plan and optimize the day-to-day operations of deliveries on our local and regional PUD fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manifest the timely and efficient delivery of freight to ensure DIFOT and cost management targets are achieved.
  • Book additional ad-hoc transport as required.
  • Ensure the dispatching depot is provided manifests and appropriate paperwork.
  • Liaise with depot supervisors and team leaders to ensure timely loading of PUD vehicles.
  • Ensure all incidents, hazards and non-compliances are reported and corrective actions implemented in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolve service and/or operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure runs are compliant with all statutory and company requirements, including but not limited to driver fatigue and load restraint.
  • Ensure critical processes are completed in our Transport Management System within required timeframes.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in fleet planning, allocation or coordination, preferably within the transport sector.
  • Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office applications, and the ability to learn new systems and work with technologies generally.
  • Good written and verbal communication, time management and customer service skills.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, know when to seek advice, suggest solutions or escalate as required.

Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $85,000-$105,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
