About the Role

CEVA Logistics is seeking a Fleet Planning Manager to join their Ground Transport division at Truganina VIC. As a Fleet Planning Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day planning of deliveries on the local and regional PUD fleet within the scope of responsibility, ensuring effective utilization of both CEVA sub-contractors and contract carriers against customer and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manifest the timely and efficient delivery of freight to ensure DIFOT and cost management targets are achieved
  • Book additional ad-hoc transport as required
  • Ensure the dispatching depot is provided with manifests and appropriate paperwork
  • Liaise with depot supervisors and team leaders to ensure timely loading of PUD vehicles
  • Ensure all incidents, hazards, and non-compliances are reported and corrective actions implemented in a timely manner
  • Investigate and resolve service and/or operational issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure runs are compliant with all statutory and company requirements, including but not limited to driver fatigue and load restraint
  • Ensure critical processes are completed in our Transport Management System within required timeframes

Requirements

  • Experience in a fleet planning, allocation, or coordination role or similar within the transport sector
  • Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office applications, and capable of learning new systems and working with technologies generally
  • Good written and verbal communication, time management, and customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, know when to seek advice, suggest solutions, or escalate as required
