Senior Water Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Water Engineer to join our Water Resources Team. This role will give you the opportunity to apply your academic and professional knowledge to real-world projects with Tier 1 energy and resource clients.

  • Undertake advanced hydraulic, hydrology and water balance modelling under minimal supervision.
  • Support the development of Consequence Category assessments including dam break modelling.
  • Assist in a range of surface water management studies and investigations from concept through to detailed design.
  • Work closely with the CAD team to develop project documentation.
  • Technical report writing and proposal preparation.
  • Participate in National and International Conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Advanced hydraulic, hydrology and water balance modelling.
  • Consequence Category assessments and dam break modelling.
  • Surface water management studies and investigations.
  • Project documentation and technical reporting.
  • Proposal preparation and conference participation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field of study.
  • Advanced degree in a related field of study (preferred but not essential).
  • Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia, with the ability to obtain RPEQ/NER once adequately qualified.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling (e.g. TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, RORB, WBNM, Flow-2D), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Competent in the use of GIS.
  • Familiarity with ARR guidelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
