About the Role:

The UNSW Australia is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Engagement and Communications Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Australian Creative Histories & Futures project, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engagement and communication strategies to promote the purpose and outcomes of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-designing a communications plan for the ACHF project with the ACHF Research Leads and Project Manager using the ARDC communication toolkit.
  • Leading the delivery of the ACHF project communications plan, including sector engagement, with the support of the Project Manager to achieve the ACHF project engagement KPIs.
  • Developing content creation for both internal & external audiences in collaboration with the Division of External Engagement and/or third party agencies & suppliers.
  • Manage a broad range of marketing, communication, and engagement activities to raise the public profile of ACHF, showcase its benefits, and help build its reputation and brand identity.
  • Collaborating with the central UNSW communications teams and the ARDC communications and marketing team to develop and pitch media releases and stories that promote ACHF through all forms of media; monitor media mentions of ACHF, its programs, and related topics.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent experience, or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience in a similar role, or in research communication will be highly valued.
  • Proven track record to deliver and measure strategic and creative engagement, marketing and communications initiatives that align with overall strategy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of communication platforms including traditional, digital, and social media channels. Knowledge of CRM platforms considered an advantage.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $100,354 - $107,054 per annum, plus 17% superannuation contributions and additional leave loading payments.
