Job Summary:

The Insurance Litigation Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to the Insurance Litigation team at Empire Group. This role involves preparing documents, drafting correspondence, and liaising with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lists of documents and draft correspondence
  • Liaise with clients and action instructions from authors
  • Proofread and format correspondence and legal documents
  • Screen calls and manage diaries
  • Manage files and perform monthly billings
  • Make travel arrangements and organize client conferences and meetings
  • Schedule conferences and mediations
  • Prepare Medicare forms and conference forms
  • Organize medico-legal appointments
  • Brief preparation and trial preparation
  • Disclosure of documents and general administrative duties

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of legal secretarial experience
  • Experience in Litigation and/or Insurance is essential
  • Minimum 60 wpm and intermediate Word skills

Company Information:

Empire Group is a boutique mid-tier law firm with 35 staff members. The company offers a negotiable salary range of $70,000 to $88,000, plus superannuation and a performance bonus. The company also offers work-from-home options of 2 days a week.
