We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our distinguished Public Liability, Construction Liability, and Dust Diseases insurance team as an Insurance Litigation Specialist.
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a top-notch team of senior practitioners and engage deeply with a diverse range of cases, gaining invaluable experience in both simple and intricate issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with experts in the field to handle a broad spectrum of cases, including public liability, construction liability, and dust diseases insurance.
- Develop key skills in legal research, drafting critical court documents and submissions, corresponding with opposing parties, inspecting and analyzing materials, and preparing for hearings.
- Learn and grow by interpreting medical reports, analyzing evidence, and developing strategies to advance your career in litigation and beyond.
- Draft requests for particulars, court documents, and submissions to the Personal Injury Commission, as well as letters of instruction to investigators for factual reports.
- Prepare summaries and evidence for hearings, attend court, including pre-trial and status conferences, interlocutory and directions hearings, and prepare for and instruct Counsel.
We are looking for an individual with:
- 4+ years of PQE experience in insurance litigation, with a strong background in public liability.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Drive and initiative, with a willingness to think creatively and develop in a supportive, flexible culture.
