Opportunity for a Solicitor in Insurance Litigation

We are seeking a highly skilled Solicitor to join our Insurance Litigation team in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Queensland workers compensation or defendant insurance and a genuine interest in pursuing a career in insurance litigation.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Service a moderate file load of personal injuries insurance claims under both the workers' compensation and PIPA regimes;
  • Undertake their own advocacy at the compulsory conference of those claims;
  • Prepare Reasons for Decision in relation to statutory workers' compensation claims under supervision and/or supervise junior practitioners in the preparation of Reasons for Decision;
  • Receive mentoring and supervision from multiple senior practitioners and/or Partners, providing them with exposure to various working styles;
  • Contribute to business development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be adept in building and developing client relationships, with a strong focus on service skills and a pragmatic approach to identifying the best outcomes for clients.

They will also have well-developed drafting and research skills, with the ability to run files autonomously and with guidance from senior members of the team. The successful candidate will be highly organized, with excellent file management skills, and able to think outside the box when identifying potential issues.
