Key Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking a seasoned Sales and Events Manager to lead their sales and events teams across multiple venues. This role involves overseeing the sales process, financial management, business development, relationship building, and driving revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in managing sales and events in upscale fast-paced venues, with a proven track record of success in account management, business development, and team leadership.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of event and sales professionals across all venues
- Maximizing revenue across the venues and sales team
- Developing trusting relationships with clients through personalized end-to-end experiences
- Proactively building and creating business relationships
- Driving activities to increase profit margins
- Financial sales reporting, including forward planning, forecasting, strategies planning, and budgeting
- Negotiation skills and strong communication
- Results-focused individual ready to meet challenges
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 7 years' experience as an autonomous Sales and Events Manager in up-scale fast-paced venues
- Previous sales success with a background in the account management of a 5-star establishment
- A passion for Business, hospitality, and Events
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and willingness to grow within the business
- Ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated experience in training staff of all levels, setting and meeting KPIs, and workforce planning
