About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a Communications Advisor position. This role will play a key part in shaping how our major infrastructure project is understood and supported by the public, stakeholders, and media.


Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and coordinate correspondence, ensuring tone, accuracy, and consistency with project standards.
  • Develop and contribute to the creation of project collateral including fact sheets, presentations, FAQs, and technical summaries.
  • Ensure all communications reflect consistent key messages and align with the broader project communication strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure communications are informed, accurate, and timely.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of communication templates and tools to support efficient and consistent messaging.
  • Contribute to the identification and mitigation of reputational risks through proactive communication planning.
  • Support continuous improvement in communication processes and team collaboration.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:


  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, media, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in communications, media, or stakeholder engagement roles.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content development skills.
  • Experience in infrastructure, energy, or regulated environments preferred.
  • Ability to translate technical content into accessible, audience-appropriate messaging.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Experience supporting media engagement and monitoring.
