Operations Director for Regional Expansion

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director for Regional Expansion to join our Operations Team in Northern Eastern Suburbs and Regional Victoria.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving profitability and growth at The Reject Shop by championing strategy, values, and driving purpose to teams and customers. You will be responsible for creating high-performing store cultures focused on delivering targeted results, leveraging a one-touch approach to operations.

- Driving store standards through effective communication, regular visits, and coaching
- Developing a high-performance culture by ensuring strong merchandising standards, a customer-centric environment, and operational efficiencies aligned with our low-cost operating model
- Leveraging trend analysis to drive commercial outcomes, aligning with KPIs and critical business focus areas
- Embracing a proactive approach to maximizing sales, reducing costs, managing wage and stock loss
- Collaborating closely with People and Culture to drive performance and develop internal succession planning and talent
- Reviewing store operations trading reports monthly to celebrate successes and identify opportunities
- Fostering a culture of safety first
- Maintaining high engagement levels in the region to support our team members
- Leading by example through transparency, honesty, integrity, and care for our people
You can bring the following to this role:
- Refined leadership skills
- Substantial experience working in high-volume roles, preferably in discount variety operational leadership positions
- A demonstrated history of achieving sales and KPI targets
- A track record of building top-performing teams
- The ability to partner with multiple key stakeholders
- Strong relationship-building skills and refined communication
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- At least 8 years' experience in quality assurance roles
- High attention to detail
